Software Development
Custom tools, useful integrations and careful changes to make your software fit the way you work.
Overview
Sometimes a small change to an existing tool makes a big difference. Sometimes the process calls for something new. I build software around the people using it, the work they need to do and the systems it needs to connect with.
That can mean a client portal, a calculator, a custom CRM, an app or a feature inside WordPress. It can also mean joining up software you already use through an API, or extending an existing platform where its standard options fall short.
- Custom web tools and business applications.
- Client and staff portals.
- WordPress and WooCommerce functionality.
- API integrations and connections between systems.
Why I’m a good fit
I like getting my head around how things work. Before reaching for code, I want to understand the process, where people lose time and what a useful result would look like.
For InnoFund, I built an R&D tax calculator, an innovation map and a video browsing platform, alongside HubSpot integration and custom traffic tracking. For My Oud Box, I built a fragrance quiz, a box builder and a loyalty system covering online and in-person purchases.
That mix of website, design and development work helps me consider the whole experience. I can build the feature, think through how people use it and connect it to the business behind it. We can start with a defined piece of work and build on what proves useful.
FAQs
Can you work with software we already use?
Yes. I’ll first check the platform, its available APIs and how it’s currently being used. An existing integration or a small extension may cover what you need.
Can we start with a smaller version?
Yes. We can identify the core task, build a useful first version and use it to decide what should come next. That gives the scope a practical starting point.
Who owns the work?
You own the bespoke work created for your project. Third-party software, libraries and assets retain their own licence terms. We’ll make those dependencies clear when agreeing the work.
Can you maintain or extend it afterwards?
Yes. We can agree follow-up work as needed or set aside regular time through retained support. Maintenance, hosting and any third-party costs are discussed as part of the scope.
